It is important to note, however, that compensation does not come just in the form of their paychecks or commission. While those things are certainly of great importance to your salespeople, so is ample opportunity for bonuses, raises and promotions once they have proven their worth and success.

Having a good training program in place is undeniably integral to the success of your salespeople. If they get off on the wrong foot in your company, they will be highly likely to leave.

3. They Are a Bad Fit for the Job

A salesperson may leave simply because they were not good at their job. The harsh reality of this is something you can avoid, with the introduction of a sales aptitude test in your hiring process.

However, if a salesperson does leave because there are greater opportunities at another company, it is within your control to see what that company is offering that you are not. 20. Not Monitoring Your Team’s Progress

“Success” is a loosely-defined term — it can mean something different for everyone.

Thus, as a Sales Manager, it is your job to define what you deem to be a success and construct a plan on how to help your team arrive at that point.

However, it is key that you not only focus on the end goal of closing a deal but also that you focus on the progress and the process it took to get there. This will help your team reach peak performance and is a big part of what will keep your reps at your company.

21. Unrealistic Quotas

Though, as mentioned above, salespeople love to be challenged, they do not love an unrealistic challenge in the form of a quota that is impossible for them to fill.

Keep your quotas challenging for your reps, but not unattainable.

22. Lowering Commission Rates on Big Deals

Many reps see companies lower commission rates as they work their way up to close bigger deals. And this could not possibly be a bigger deterrent for a hard-working salesperson. Why would they work as hard as possible to close big clients, only to be punished with a lower commission?

Be fair with the commission you give your reps, and they are more likely to stick by your side.

23. No Autonomy

In every company, there is a certain way decision-making is done, and the people at the top are usually the ones to make the big decisions.

This does not mean, however, that your sales reps want all decisions to be governed by someone else.

In fact, employees who felt they had no say in the way their jobs were done were 28% more likely to find a new company that allowed them more autonomy.

We would be lying if we said that selling was easy. However, the sales process does not have to be as complicated as many companies make it.

The simpler the process is at your company, the more likely your employees are to stick around and successfully navigate the route.

25.  Untimely Payments

Satisfaction with payment plans in a company is a big concern for salespeople. After all, they have done the work and deserve to get paid for it.

If your company takes too long to pay reps, you are at risk of losing some of your top performers.

26. No Administrative Support

It is the job of the salesperson to sell. However, doing that successfully requires administrative support to fulfill the other duties involved with sales, such as CRM.

For your reps to reach the success both they and you want, they need the administrative support to get there.

27. Lack of Team Goals

Every salesperson will come into a job with personal goals, and that is something you should support.

But you do not want those personal goals to get in the way of, or replace team goals. At the end of the day, your sales team is exactly that: a team. So, set up collaborate goals and watch the teamwork soar.

28. Wrongful Promotion

As a team player, salespeople will support their colleagues getting promoted — when that promotion is warranted.

Wrongfully promoting a rep who is a friend, needs a favor or for some other reason which is unclear to fellow reps will cause some major problems.

Avoid that by making every promotion within your company unambiguous and transparent for everyone.

29. Jumbled Systems between Departments

The sales team is just one part of your company. There are numerous other moving parts and in order for the company to truly be successful, everyone needs to work together.

How your salespeople interact with and are treated by managers, colleagues, staff and other employees will affect how they view the company as a whole, and whether they want to be a part of it.

30. No Long-Term Incentives

Creating motivation in the short-term is very important in the world of sales.

Just make sure that you are not neglecting long-term incentives because that is what will keep your salespeople around.

I would like to withdraw $10

This old lady handed her bank card to the teller and said "I would like to withdraw $10". The teller told her "For withdrawals less than $100, Please use the ATM." The old lady wanted to know why... 

The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her "These are the rules, please leave if there is no further matter. There is a line of customers behind you."

The old lady remained silent for a few seconds and handed her card back to the teller and said "Please help me withdraw all the money I have." The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her "You have $300,000 in your account but the bank doesn't have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come back again tomorrow.?"

The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $3000. "Well please let me have $3000 now." The teller kindly handed $3000 very friendly and with a smile to her.

The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account.
The moral of this story is,
Don't be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skill.!!

Ketua Umum Asosiasi Pengusaha TIK Nasional (APTIKNAS) Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH menghadiri langsung pameran Solartech Indonesia, Inalight dan SmartHome+City Indonesia 2024 yang diselenggarakan GEM Indonesia pada tanggal 6 sampai dengan 8 Maret 2024 di JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat.

Dalam sambutan dipembukaan pameran Ketum APTIKNAS Soegiharto Santoso mengapresiasi keberhasilan GEM Indonesia menjadikan pameran ini sebagai pameran B2B International terbesar se-Asia Tenggara di bidang ini (Solartech).  "APTIKNAS selalu mendukung kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh GEM Indonesia, serta memberikan apresiasi kepada EO GEM Indonesia dan seluruh pihak atas terselenggaranya kegiatan ini. Karena kita semua menjadi bagian yang akan turut andil demi mewujudkan Net Zero Emission di tahun 2060 mendatang," kata Hoky sapaan akrabnya dalam pesan tertulis Kamis (7/3/2024) di Jakarta.

"Kami akan terus berupaya menjalin sinergitas dengan berbagai pihak memperkenalkan produk dan solusi demi mewujudkan Net Zero Emission di tahun 2060 dan program digitalisasi demi kemajuan serta kemandirian kita dibidang TIK," tutur Hoky.

Hoky juga menyampaikan APTIKNAS akan terus melakukan sosialisasi transformasi digital, dan telah menjalankan program APTIKNAS Smart Nation, dimana di dalamnya ada 2 pondasi, yaitu; Talenta Digital dan Digital Leadership. Selain itu APTIKNAS menetapkan 6 pilar sebagai program prioritas yaitu; Digital City atau Smart City, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Blockchain dan Hardware. Dimana dirinya yakin, semua teknologi ini bisa dijumpai dalam expo yang diselenggarakan saat ini.

Hoky menambahkan, pameran ini menjadi bagian dari eko sistem yang mempertemukan seluruh pihak terkait dari hulu sampai hilir di bidang TIK dan energi baru, terbarukan. "APTIKNAS sangat mendukung kebijakan pemerintah tentang TKDN, sehingga para vendor ataupun prinsipal dari produk-produk ternama peserta pameran selanjutnya dapat membangun pabriknya di Indonesia untuk menjamin TKDN terpenuhi," ujar Hoky.

Didalam pameran tersebut terdapat sub events lainnya yaitu; Battery & Energy Storage Indonesia, Smart IOT Indonesia, SmartLift Indonesia, Cable & Wire Indonesia serta InagreenTech, yang merupakan pameran terbesar di Asia Tenggara yang diikuti lebih dari 800 peserta pameran dari puluhan negara dengan target dihadiri lebih dari 25 ribu pengunjung, baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri.

Pameran ini diselenggarakan oleh PT. Global Expo Management (GEM) Indonesia yang menghadirkan perusahaan-perusahaan terkemuka global di bidang Solar PV, Energy Storage, Perlampuan, dan Smart Home. 

Diantaranya PLN Nusantara Power, Huayao PV, Atelier Solar, Gotion, Apollo Solar Indonesia, JJ-Lapp, Solis, Hexing Livoltek, RePower, MKOPTO, AE Solar, Damai Cable, Boamax, Bluetti, Goodwe, Ecoflow, ATW Solar, Utomo Solar UV, dan Aviation Electrical.

Pameran ini mendapat dukungan dari Direktorat Jenderal Energi Baru Terbarukan dan Konsevasi Energi, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral RI, serta Kementerian Perindustrian RI melalui Direktorat Jenderal Industri Kecil dan Menengah yang turut memfasilitasi perusahaan-perusahaan lokal untuk memamerkan produk buatan Indonesia di ajang pameran Internasional ini. 

Pameran kali ini juga memperoleh dukungan dari berbagai Asosiasi, diantaranya APAMSI, APERLINDO, ALINDO, AKLI, APPLE, GAMATRINDO, GAPENDO, dan PERTAMISI, serta APTIKNAS.

Di sela pameran, seluruh tamu dan undangan sempat berkeliling booth peserta pameran bersama Sahid Junaidi, S.Kom, M.M. selaku Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Energi Baru, Terbarukan, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral RI yang hadir mewakili Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral RI, didampingi Presiden Direktur GEM Indonesia, Baki Lee.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Aplikasi Informatika, Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo), Dr. I Nyoman Adhiarna urut mengunjungi booth pameran APTIKNAS yang menampilkan berbagai produk dan solusi para anggota APTIKNAS, antara lain Robotic, pelatihan tersertifikasi tentang merancang dan membangun sistem surveillance pintar berbasis Al, KiosK Onesia, UPS Onesia, System Monitoring PRTG dan lainnya.
